| Dr. Virginia Hamilton |

Dr. Virginia Hamilton is a Continuing Lecturer in the Department of Communication. She teaches nine courses a year, and three courses during the summer sessions. At the end of this school year, she will have taught here for nine years, having had the opportunity to interact with over 6,000 of the brightest and most lovable students she has ever encountered. She earned her Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin in 1991. Over the past nine years, Virginia has taught six different courses within the department and sponsors all Communication-related internships. Her noticeable enthusiasm for teaching is based on her belief that the field of Communication addresses multiple facets of human existence and is applicable to both career and personal life goals. Virginia lives with her 14 year-old daughter and 10 year-old son in Santa Rosa and Clearlake.
