In 1975, ground broke on a radical design experiment in community living in Davis, California. The Village Homes neighborhood took root in a town shaped by the influence of the University of California, Davis, progressive local government, and a culture open to forward thinking.

Niro is known for her ability to explore traditional stories, transgress boundaries and embody the ethos of her matriarchal culture. A member of the Kanyen’kehaka (Mohawk) Nation, she uses a variety of media to bring greater visibility to Indigenous women and girls.

Follow  Professor Cheeto Cat, Sally Spectra, Nick Neutron, and Professor Fourier Fish as they learn about the importance of physics through exciting demos! Everyone will enjoy this physics parody of the classic Cat in the Hat!

Journey back in time with a Picnic Day-only special exhibit on UC Davis history and traditions, and visit our Aggie-themed group study rooms. Color-your-own postcard, collect new “taste of Davis” recipes, and explore exhibits about the Davis Farmers Market and the centennial of Route 66.

Come cheer for our mini-distance frisbee dog contest! There will be an advanced group (>1year of experience) and a beginners group (<1 year of experience). The contest is open to the public and free to enter; prizes will be awarded! Contestants must register prior to Picnic Day.
