As one of the largest student-run events in the United States, drawing more than 75,000 attendees each year, Picnic Day celebrates the people, places, and traditions that make UC Davis feel like home.
The theme for this year, “The Journey Home: Destination Davis" celebrates the many paths that bring individuals to our campus. The theme reflects the shared sense of belonging that connects students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members through Picnic Day.
Picnic Day Chair Trinh NguyenDiem Vo said, “This theme encapsulates the deep-rooted connection to UC Davis and the city that students, employees, alumni, and community members share. It celebrates the sense of belonging and pride that flow from our Picnic Day values.”
