Yolo Basin Foundation's Mobile Visitor Center will be stationed on Hutchison field as an interactive activity for our community to learn about conservation of local wetlands via interactive activities and information displayed from our Mobile Visitor Center.

NorCal Bats

Learn about the importance of these amazing flying mammals (bats) and meet some of the species of bats that fly around UC Davis. Bats play a huge roll in reducing the quantity of insecticides needed as well as just being fascinating winged wonders. 

 

Sea Otter Savvy

Join Sea Otter Savvy to explore sea otter biology, history, and recovery. View specimens, learn about our research on otter behavior and coastal ecosystems, and engage with programs that connect science, stewardship, and community action to support the return of this keystone species.

CANTER California

Come meet the hard-working and passionate volunteers of CANTER California, a local 501(c)(3) that provides retiring thoroughbred racehorses with opportunities for new careers. Since our founding, we have helped over 100 ex-racehorses find new homes.

Frisbee Dog Contest

Come cheer for our mini-distance frisbee dog contest! There will be an advanced group (>1year of experience) and a beginners group (<1 year of experience). The contest is open to the public and free to enter; prizes will be awarded! Contestants must register prior to Picnic Day.
